Uhhhhh what makes the Maloo "racing technology"? Because it has four wheel independent suspension??
Add a third pedal and a stick shift, here in the US, you could leave the keys in the car with it running come back an hour latter and it wouldn't be touched. Greatest theft protection you can buy.
They would have to put side mirrors on the E to sale it in America.
For one, the Honda E would do very nice here, in a four door configuration, to compete with the Prius Leaf and other EVs. The Maloo could have been a low production truck, but when Pontiac was axed, everything went down the crapper. Life is too damn fast and hectic here in America for a manual in practical use, but it's still fun to drive on the weekends.
There is a small issue for the Cadillac. German carbon emission regulation make that car illegal. Yiu can only buy one for a much more expensive price at a importer. That's why American cars dont sell good in europe
U know nothing, audi Is the in the Volkswagen group,so selling a cheaper audi would be pointless
Stype , you should make a list of the most beautiful car interiors ever made
How the hell is a solar charger supposed to work on a wallet? You got them see through plastic pants on?
They have tried to sell Cadillacs in Europe and the UK but they don't sell as the prices rise dramatically this side of The Pond. No one in their right mind would EVER buy a Caddy over a Beemer or Merc, the German cars are just far better designed and manufactured in comparison. A Caddy looks like cheap shite compared to an Audi, BMW or Mercedes and buyers at this level will also have brand snobbery (you'd never brag about driving a Caddy in the UK or Europe, unless you want to be laughed at!)
A Fiat Panda has zero 'street cred' in Europe! I'd take the far funkier looking N-Box over that crappy Panda any day!
The bean counters ruin everything 🙁
I would have bought an Australian ute, I wanted a Mazda6 wagon but no we can't have them in Mazda's 2nd biggest market.
I was on a trip to Scotland and saw American male tourist lusting over a Jaguar wagon but we've been told we must buy SUVs instead
As an American who has only ever driven Manual(minus one pickup truck), I gotta say, I am offended by how underrated the BMW M Series cars were in the Manual options. I had the chance to drive an E90 M3 6 speed, and I was not disappointed. I have owned only 2 automatic cars, a 2011 Ford CVPI, and a 2019 Nissan Frontier. On the other hand, regarding manuals, I’ve owned a 5 Speed Ranger, a 5 Speed Dakota, a 3 Speed Column Ford Falcon, a 5 Speed Volvo, a 5 Speed Jetta, a 6 Speed Sentra, a 5 Speed Suzuki Grand Vitara, and, currently, a 6 Speed Jeep Wrangler(none at the same time, of course).
finally a wallet that actually beats ridge and isnt maintstream
Don't sniff glue
GR Yaris. I would have bought one already.
VW learned their lesson trying to sell the Phaeton in the US. The upper end of the market here has nothing to do with the value of the product, and everything to do with the status the brand confers on the owner.
The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is under 100 grand, that the fact it is faster than some German saloons. What if it is a useful weapon than can make supercars and hypercars, useless, just because of the supercars/hypercars prices are high? Like millions, or ever a billion dollars for a supercar or hypercar? The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is a king!
I live in europe. And I think alot of people wouldnt drive small cars if gas were cheap and we could get a new huge Truck for 30.000$ like in the US.
7:46 i'm sad to bc its not coming to my country, thailand. i've only heard its sold in europe and japan
We need in Europe real Kei cars and real American cars + trucks. I already have Toyota Tacoma in European middle size town but I also want to buy Daihatsu Extol. Why? Because these cars are just cars with the purpose instead of European just from Italy, Germany and France.
Sending that Cadillac to Germany would only create more accidents and anti-Turk xenophobia.
Hsv maloo there were also a regular versions. Holden commodore Ute. You could get them with regular 4 pots v6s and of course the v8. Ford had their falcon Ute that was very closely matched
Idk bruh, the commie Ute. Everybody and they mama in Aussie and NZ had one or has one
The holden commodore ute aka the hsv maloo was made in Australia originally so i understand why
As a vauxhall/opel/holden fan i find that it makes sence why because a lot of holdens just turn to chevrolets or just common cars
Why GM doesn't sell the souped-up Cadillac in Europe?
Because the Cadillac brand is almost ruined by saloons with Northstar engines and Escalades looking like hearses on testosterones.
And because GM have sold their European volume brands to Stellantis and have no dealer network left worth mentioning – which is also why only few Corvettes are sold over here though they are cheaper than European sports cars.
2:28 Fart.
4:02 THE PRICEDOWN FONT WOULD WORK BETTER THERE.
5:38 BOOM quack quack
A DIFFERENT type of list would work better here: 10 items plus 3 honorable mention items WITH THEIR NAMES
Screw you GM America and Ford America
I, an American would very much like a Honda e
The US has wanted the Maloo for many years… corporate bastards screwed us again
HSV Maloo i know that brand in Forza like most peoples i think
And ngl i never drive that same as Holden
Look like cheap American muscle car sorry
Literally the maloo is GOAT…… All wheel drive 500hp v8 and…. Versatile as pickup….. You can't ask more than that…
Honestly not having the Maloo in the US market is a failure of the highest caliber and is unforgivable blood needs to be drawn over this
Hehe, Pickup go sideways
I wish VW did a Phaeton rewamp. They are not afraid to ask 80 grand for a Passat, so…
BTW, "Blinking the morse code" counts as "Nötigung" and is punished with a month of driving ban.
Overtaking can be announced with one flashing light, but not several. If you don't keep the safety distance, it's even worse.
they used to sell a lot of kei vans in Europe, they had the engines replaced with something bigger but otherwise the same, the reason they don't sell them anymore is they did not meet the crash safety regulations… Besides they were too slow, people casually drive at 140-160kph outside city.
Absolutely agree!! Honda E should be brought to North America!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
THE MALOO IS A UTE!!! NOT A TRUCK! Hate to sound like "that guy" but it needs to be said
Because Americans, by far, buy vehicles that DON'T fit the purpose for which they SHOULD be buying! Still love America, but bewildered at this….
Super fun video man!!! Two small details; 1.Europeans love small cars but looks and interiors are pretty important, they won't buy bricky kei cars with plain, plasticky interiors..and 2 the phideon/phaeton works in China because there VW is perceived as a premium brand, in Europe a luxury VW is plain silly and stupid, how can you splash €100k on a "Peoples' Car" after driving Golfs and Beetles for generations?!
The new Caddy is pretty cool. It sounds amazing. It's probably going to be a lot more expensive to run and maintain in Europe with gas prices. But you could buy the MT Blackwing and have 40k euro for gas and tyres.
The Honda E would be one of the coolest EVs to have in the States. Way cooler than any other EV in its price range. Way cooler.
Don’t think that the Cadillac would sell well here. American cars are notoriously unreliable compared to other nations in its class, burn more fuel (after adjusting for power) and most importantly, they are made to drive straight lines, no turns…
Stype needs to make more American car videos…
Asian manufacturers tried selling kei cars in Europe, however they failed because European manufacturers could sell similarly sized cars for a cheaper price and generally Europeans are taller than Asians so they prefer roomier cars.
The CT5-V doesn't have to be sold in Germany, it can be imported right now if someone wants to (unlike the US)
The Honda E will never be sold in the US because strict US regulations mandate that there are physical mirrors on the car, not cameras.
10:15 I think that data is from 20 years ago. Autos broke 50% in Europe a few years ago while in the US it's 1% not 3%.
So the logic behind the M5 is a little more sound than you're giving it credit for. The manual was only sold in the NA market because we bitched the most when it went away. Apparently if you tell a German, it may not be as fun but it's faster, more efficient, you'll never miss a shift and nuke your motor, and btw this thing changes gears faster than anything else on the planet, they're much more willing to take the SMG. Porsche did the same thing for a while with the 911 unless I'm very mistaken.
I really wish the Cadillac CT5-V would be sold in Germany. I really love the brand and I'm already looking for the older model (CTS-V). Merc, Audi, BMW is just something eveyone has. Maybe I have to import a CT5-V in the next few years (as long as fuel prices are still manageable)
The Maloo was rebadged here as a Chevy SS. Genuinely one of my favourite Chevy’s. It was a beast
Most people in Europe don’t like American cars
