I wish these greedy dealers would get a congressional hearing soon. They come under transportation so get Pete Buttiegeg on their backs.
I have 3 used cars all payed for.
Lol as I said in my last comment, I have a different variety of vehicles I can choose. But for less! I can get my sedan (that’s not being made anymore). I get exactly what I want!
I haven't seen used cars selling more then new cars … if people really are doing that, it doesn't make sense … around here, new car dealers are still doing 'market adjustments'
The car depreciation in the first year is bigger on a brand new car than on a 1 year old used car. That can be one reason.
The question you asked in the video: People buy overpriced used because the credit constraints are easier then at new car dealerships
The 2023 Mazda 3 made in Japan. I’m definitely considering Mazda now. The Japanese design the best car for your money. Quality is job number 1.
I’ll never waste my money on any pile of junk assembled by the UAW(United Auto Workers). Most of the money your forking over is going to the mafia union and their pensions. No thank you.
Do not buy any cars new or used. Eventually they’ll lower prices.
You gotta stop lying to people! You change the game every day!!!!!
Brands are being like funko pop.
They are going to throw away $30millon of figured because they have too many. They would rather loose money they price them correctly.
Funny how everyone complains about $50000 cars! Don’t buy them. I just bought a 2023 Mazda 3 Sport hatchback for 23,000 and with a downpayment only pay $190/month for 4 years @ 5.5% interest. Great deals are out there people. Oh and it was only a two month wait from order to build to shipment from Japan.
used cars cost less than brand new cars I'm not sure why you can't figure that out
Prime example the f150 the 2021 had more options than the 2023 so you almost better off buying a used 2021 considering the msrps have gone up on the 2023s that offer less mot sure what Ford is thinking but there going to drive consumers to shop other auto makers and if Kia ever gets into the full size truck market there all screwed I work at the Chrysler jeep plant and I see a lot of Kias in the parking lot the big three have lost there collective minds they need to get back to making cool affordable cars
Market is over priced ford and gm is losing market sure and ford ceo acts pissed but Ford or GM isn't making affordable cars and laws are protecting them from foreign competition. Dealers are using markups because of such low sales on new cars that they're having to make twice the money on one sale because the volume just isn't there like it used to be
It would be great if you would slow down your talk so we could understand you. As is we can't.
New car markup still exist in some markets and that’s why I can see folks look for used.
Totally predictable. Last year taught the auto makers that people are more than willing to spend their money on marked up cars. The auto makers will keep the brakes on the supply because they rather sell to the idiots that are willing to overpay than to the smart consumer that isn't.
I can't wait until the Automobile Market crashes. This situation that's been going on the past 18 to 24 months with dealers marking up vehicles etc can't sustain much longer. Consumers are also to Blame for this craziness in vehicle prices because a lot of consumers decided to purchase vehicles at ridiculous high prices. I would like to see repo rates increase along with car dealerships struggling to sell vehicles because of their price gouging practices. There's a lot of Underwater auto loan consumers as well. There will be a bubble pop in the automobile industry in the near future.
Yup, I just ordered a 2023 Chevy tahoe LS, which is the base model with basically nothing added. OTD price is $67,000. Even if I give 10k down, the monthly payment im looking at is still over $800 a month. This is a very bad problem. It's a base model!!!!!!
new cars are selling at a good rate. February 2023 sales according to COX was at 1,160,000 units with a higher mix of fleet sales… but a good number for a February month. Inventory is at 1.8 million..but some automakers have good inventory , while others have little inventory.
Uneducated/unprepared buyers + salespeople who make commission on gross (more gross on used cars than new) = people buying a used car for more than a new one
Ben do you even read these comments??????the reasons why they are not selling new cars because the lease rates and residuals are out of control the dealer gave me all the discounts all the rebates gave me dealers cost but because of the rates and residuals are so high from the manufactures, that's the problem .I was a finance manager for 40 years so I know the deal!!!!!
Today's car price is ridiculous it's pure greed! I work for Toyota and have for decades now and today's vehicle price is way out of control because a vehicle shouldn't cost more than 25 thousand dollars for a full loaded vehicle that's trucks, cars and sport cars like Mustang and camaro it only cost around 20 grand total to build a fully loaded vehicle.
