Aren't these crashes mental! Do remember to subscribe for more!
So you buy a Range Rover to be safe when hit by a smaller SUV, so I will buy an electric Hummer, and you will soon go to work in a Semi, etc. When will this stupidity stop ? Why not banning dangerous cars instead of buying even more dangerous cars to be safe from dangerous cars ? Hopefully in Europe we have round about, and speed is limited at 30 km/h in my city.
gotta go for the foam from demolition man.
A few months ago a driver ran a stopsign at 55 miles per hour and tboned my 14 accord. Her Dodge SUV crumpled like a tin can and hit me right between the wheels on the driver's side. My driver side windows were broken, my doors were smashed and my frame was bent but I was still able to drive me car 45 minutes back to my house where it was declared totalled by the other drivers insurance. I love Hondas
Why don't the manufacturers make the b beam stronger
My 1996 Integra saves my bacon after a glancing blow from a F-150.
Might is right. Buy a bigger car with a frame. The other cars will be like pillows.
IIHS is a scam organization. You dont have to destroy THAT many cars, especially older ones or classic ones.
Its like setting fire to the Monalisa to test the fire safety of oil paintings.
As a professional driver in the state of Kentucky I can clearly see the dumbshit per million registered is off the charts.
I drive a mini copper I feel like I’m going to end up in a wreck thats easy to loose.
I was analysing US data few years ago, I found insane increase safety in VW Golf when MQB platforms starts before was not safe at all
Wait, so what do they do with all of the trashed cars?
It looks like the safest thing to drive is the sled with a 3300-pound slab on the front. Why don't they sell those? 🤔
Are cars getting heavier? According to a Forbes article they aren’t.
Golf mk5 1.6 weighs the same as golf mk8 1.5. And the new golf has 50 more hp and better fuel economy.
Proud Mazda driver! I don’t have the SUV, I have the 3. When test driving cars one thing that stood out to me about the Mazda was that considering the price it had a very nice interior, and that it just seemed to feel like a sturdier car. There’s no other car I’d rather drive, especially once I watched the crash test for my car and others I’d looked at. Now my brother has a CX-5, and given how he drives it’s a good thing he has such a safe car 😂
Driver: Wow, I'm so happy my airbag opened!
Half a second later: 💀
Is it just me feeling a bit sad seeing the belair being crashed? I mean its a great classic.
Easy, cheap answer to this problem: the so called "anti roll bar".
So what happens when it's a 9,000lb Hummer EV that hits you? If we all drove around in appropriate vehicles we'd all be so much safer
So the lunacy for safety is costing the lunacy for "global warming". Who's gonna win? SUV's are heavy polluters but safer. You want save yourself from an accident you may never have or you rather help the planet? Anyone who buys new cars often is destroying the planet anyway so it really is pointless… If 1 person bought 1 new car once every 20 years or more things would be much better.
Just shows again that SUVs are shitty, stupid cars.
You can't really go offroad, they need so much more fuel, they handle worse, they use up more space in the city and you endanger other people.
Sponsored by Mazda.
This has gotten worse with all the heavy electric cars like Tesla. Triple fatalities in a decade in the US vs. Europe. Rising fatalities in the US, falling in Europe.
This channel is so ridiculously cool! How have I not come across you before? Thanks for the great content!
Saab started side impact protection in the 70‘s. It’s not that theses tests lead to modern safety … manufacturers notoriously just do what they need to, unlike Saab who’s marketing strategy was to make safe and reliable performance cars. It’s an old hat guys and what brand died? Too good cars. Thanks!
7:34 cant believe how much the dummies face completely missed that air bag. 🤕
A Saab would laugh in the face of this test.
Except Tesla, actually
No one talking about teslas safety rating?
What about Tesla?
Good for Aptera…..they all are failing
